Grandpa_style vintage cardigan, made for the long-gone but never-forgotten Filenes Department Stores of Boston. Generous pockets, leather buttons, shawl collar, a pretty flecked yarn color in blue, white and brown, and best of all - it was made in England, of Shetland wool. Truly a gem you’d not find in department stores today!
Marked as a size medium, but quite generous in size.
In excellent condition - no stains, holes or repairs.
Care: hand wash cool; lay flat to dry.

We call this section "vintage knits" in that we don't generally know the age or provenance of these items, or the yarn that made them. Occasionally our shop's knit samples also make it in here!
We carefully select only the items that speak to us as beautiful and high-quality makes, and ensure they are in good condition. We check each one for minor repairs, and wash small items (hats, mittens, cowls) so that they'll be ready to wear or gift once you receive them.
All items are sold as-is; woolens and handmade items are perfectly imperfect, and we don't consider these defects, just the nature of a handmade wardrobe! Hand wash all wool and handmade knit and crochet items in cool water with a mild soap like Soak. Wool is naturally antimicrobial, and hand knits last longer with less fuss and washing - just wear them and enjoy!
