The Dropcloth Strawberry Rainbow Needle Book is a bright, cheerful strawberry and rainbow panel to stitch into a beautiful mini-book to keep yourself and your sewing projects organized!

Sample shown in photos used back stitch, running stitch, and chain stitches. However, like all Dropcloth Samplers, you can choose your own adventure and pick your own stitches and colors.

Complete directions for turning this panel into a finished needle book are included with the sampler. The finished project makes an excellent gift for a stitchy friend -  especially if you load it up with threaded needles!

  • Preprinted cotton fabric sampler.
  • Instructions for sewing embroidered panels into functional pincushions.
  • Approximately 3" x 6" when completed.

What you'll need:

  • Embroidery hoop
  • Needle
  • Threads (you can use traditional 2-strand or 3-strand threads, perle cotton, or our Rustic Wool Threads)
  • Felt

About Dropcloth:

The story of Dropcloth Samplers started at Squam Art Workshops.  In the summer of 2010, on a whim, Rebecca Ringquist designed and printed an embroidery sampler, and sold over a hundred of them at the Squam Art Sale. Word got around the blog-o-sphere, and one thing led to another. Why "dropcloth"?   A dropcloth is something that can get messy - a piece of fabric that you can afford to make a mistake with. You can jump in and take a risk!
