This beautiful vintage sweater is 100% wool, unbelievably soft, and features a folded turtleneck and the unusual (but lovely) detail of a back zipper to make it easier to put on and remove.

Darlene sweaters were made by Darlene Knitwear in Manchester, New Hampshire, in the 1950's and 1960's. They were particularly known for using a blend of French angora and lambswool, which certainly feels like this sweater's composition, based on its softness and gentle halo.
This vintage piece is in excellent condition for its age - no stains, holes or repairs.
Care: hand wash cool; lay flat to dry.

Hand wash all wool and handmade knit and crochet items in cool water with a mild soap like Soak. Wool is naturally antimicrobial, and hand knits last longer with less fuss and washing - just wear them and enjoy!
