We believe in keeping the joy of letter-writing alive, especially at a time when it's more important than ever to feel connected to those we love. And what better way to drop a hand-written note to a fiber friend than with these yarn-themed, hand-stamped cards?
When we met with Alex of Fika Print Studio about making these custom designs for Needle + Purl, we asked her to capture our love of local, small-batch yarn. She studied our shop and the farms and makers we partner with to understand how deep our love goes - and we absolutely love what she has created!
Alex uses a printmaking process called linocut. She draws up the designs, then carves them into linoleum to create stamps. Each card is hand-stamped by Alex in her studio.
Choose from 3 designs - Wildflower and Skein, Leafy Project Basket, and Celebrate Vegetable Matter - in the colors shown. Kraft paper envelopes for mailing your cards are included.
About the maker: Alex Edgerly is an illustrator, graphic designer, painter and printmaker in New Hampshire, where she finds creativity and inspiration in the details.
