About this yarn: Romney is like the kid on your block everyone wants to be friends with - easy-going and knows all the fun games! It's the perfect all-around fiber: a big squish, no scratch, no pilling, great-for-cables-and-colorwork kinda yarn.
This fabulous worsted weight yarn comes from our friends at Great Bay Wool Works, where they have big hearts for their sweet-faced flock of Romneys and Romney/Merino crosses. Every time I meet up with their shepherdess Theresa to get another batch of her Romney for the shop, she brings me a surprise - local donuts, a hand-knit bluebird, a special skein from her flock. That's what working with small businesses and local farms is. And I hope when you receive these skeins in the mail, you'll feel that, too - how much Theresa and I care about working together to preserve local farms and natural wool goodness, and how glad we are to share it with you.

About the farm: Great Bay Wool Works, in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire, produces beautiful yarn from their flock of white and natural colored Romney and Romney/Merino sheep. Their farm's fiber is not dyed, so these skeins are the color of their sheep fleeces blended to make the perfect marled yarns.
